Waterfalls and Big Trees
Just a 30 minute drive from the township of Stanley is the impressive Dip Falls Forest Reserve. To experience the falls you have the option to walk to the base via a stairway of 156 steps. For those unable to do the walk there is a viewing platform where the falls can be viewed cascading from the top. A spectacular experience, especially so in the winter.
One kilometre from the falls will find you standing at the base of The Big Tree. It is over 400 years old and is approximately 17 meters in girth. Impressive at any time of the year.
